Mr. Hawkins is the Area
Horticulture Agent with the LSU AgCenter. He grew up in Orange County, VA and earned a
Bachelor’s degree in Forestry & Wildlife from Virginia Tech in 1984 and a Master’s degree in Forestry from LSU. He has worked as a service forester in Virginia and Texas; a county agent in Georgia; and worked with LSU AgCenter in Beauregard Parish for fourteen years.
His areas of expertise and major programming are in horticulture, beekeeping, Master Gardener, and Prescribed Fire.
Keith lives in the capital area with lovely wife of 33 years, Lydia.
